I work for the Blood Service and I hear stories from donors every day. Some are sad, some are funny and some are inspirational. The job is fascinating and I wanted to record the stories and my experiences on a site that is easily accessed. I have submitted a few entries to NHS Blood and Transplant, but they choose photos I have taken and make slight changes. It isn't an easy site for people to find and see their story so I am branching out on my own. I must stress that this blog is NOT an official NHSBT blog and everything in it is purely from my own personal experience and stories that I have been told. I won't use real names unless I am given permission and I won't use photos of people unless they give me their permission. I have worked for the Blood Service for just over four years and I love my job. I am 'on the shop floor' as I stick needles into donor's arms and take their donation. I am your friendly neighbourhood vampire. View all posts by justanarmful
